Anxiety

The racing heart before a meeting. Lying awake at 2am replaying conversations. The constant "what if" loop that never really quits. Anxiety is exhausting, and you deserve more than just coping with it.

Constant worry you can't seem to turn off

Avoiding situations because of fear or dread

Irritability or difficulty concentrating

Sleep problems or waking up already anxious

Panic attacks or feeling suddenly overwhelmed

Feeling like you're always waiting for something to go wrong

If you nodded along, you're not alone. And this is exactly what we're here for.

What is Anxiety?

Your Brain Is Trying to Protect You. It's Just Working a Little Too Hard.

Anxiety isn't a character flaw or a sign that something is fundamentally wrong with you. It's your nervous system doing its job, just turned up way too high. That alarm system that was designed to protect you from real danger? It starts firing for emails, social situations, and decisions that feel impossible.

"Anxiety often shows up not as a dramatic breakdown, but as a quiet hum of dread that colors every single day."

Anxiety looks different for everyone. For some, it's generalized anxiety, a free-floating worry about everything at once. For others, it's social anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder, OCD tendencies, or phobias. Many people experience anxiety alongside depression, and many don't even realize they've been anxious their whole lives — they just thought that's how everyone felt.

The good news? Anxiety is one of the most well-studied and treatable mental health experiences we know of. With the right support, change is absolutely possible.

You're not "too sensitive"

Anxiety often affects people who feel deeply and care greatly. Your sensitivity is a strength, even when it doesn't feel that way.

It's not just "in your head"

Anxiety has real physical effects — tight chest, fatigue, nausea, muscle tension. Your body and mind are connected, and both deserve care.

You don't
have to push through alone

Willpower alone rarely beats anxiety long-term. Learning how anxiety works and how to work with it, makes all the difference.

Relief is
realistic

You may not "cure" anxiety, but you can change your relationship with it so it no longer runs your life.

How we help:

Counselling That Goes Beyond "Just Breathe"

We use evidence-based, personalized approaches to help you understand your anxiety from the inside out and build a life where fear doesn't get the final vote.

CBT & Cognitive Restructuring

We'll explore the thought patterns that feed your anxiety and practice realistic, grounded ways of thinking that don't leave you spiraling.

Nervous System Regulation

Learn to actually calm your body, not just tell yourself to calm down. We teach practical, science-backed tools that work in real-time.

Trauma-Informed Care

Many anxiety patterns have roots in past experiences. We approach this gently, at your pace, with full respect for your story and your safety.

Gradual Exposure Work

Avoidance keeps anxiety alive. We gently and supportively help you face what you've been avoiding, at a pace that feels manageable, not overwhelming.

Mindfulness & ACT

Learn to observe your anxious thoughts without being swallowed by them. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helps you build a rich life alongside uncertainty.

Understanding Your Triggers

We help you map out what's really driving your anxiety, past experiences, beliefs, relationships, so you can address roots, not just symptoms.

What working with us looks like:

  • A 15-minute phone call to connect, ask questions, and make sure we're the right fit. Zero pressure to book.

  • We get to know you - your history, what's happening now, your goals, and what you're hoping life could feel like.

  • Together, we build a therapy roadmap that makes sense for where you are and where you want to go.

  • Everyone's needs are different, so you and your therapist will work together to find a session frequency that feels right for where you are.

  • More good days. Quieter mind. Better sleep. The ability to be present for the life you actually want.

  • This truly varies. Some people notice meaningful shifts within 6–10 sessions; others prefer longer-term support. We don't believe in keeping you in therapy forever, our goal is to help you build skills so you need us less over time.

  • Many extended health plans in Canada cover sessions with Registered Psychologists or Registered Social Social Workers. We recommend checking your plan to be sure.

  • You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. If anxiety is affecting your quality of life in any way such as your sleep, your relationships, your enjoyment of things, you're allowed to ask for help. There's no “minimum amount” requirement.

  • No referral is needed. You can contact us directly and we'll get you set up with a free 15 minute phone consultation.

  • Absolutely. Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person for many people, and they fit better into busy lives. We offer both options, you choose what works for you, and you can switch anytime.

  • Sometimes it's about the right fit, the right approach, or the right timing. We'd love to hear what your experience was like and how we can approach things differently.
