Glenice Nembhard
Hello, my name is Glenice. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I provide a warm, compassionate, empowering, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to bring their whole selves and work through life's challenges with support and understanding.
I work with children (5+), teens, adults, seniors, and couples using an evidence-based, client-centered, and collaborative approach. Together, we will work to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools for meaningful and lasting change. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered.
I utilize play-based therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy, among other evidence-based approaches to help you process difficult experiences, develop skills to manage stressful situations, and cultivate resilience to navigate life’s difficulties.
As an immigrant, I am particularly interested in helping other immigrants and members of BIPOC communities navigate their unique experiences, the complexities of cultural identity and belonging. Additionally, I hold a second Master's degree in Health Psychology, which informs my interest in helping clients manage the intersection of physical and mental health. This includes supporting individuals coping with chronic illness and health-related challenges, as well as addressing the often-overlooked ways that physical health shapes emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of self.
