Uzma Mehreen
Uzma is a Registered Social Worker at Evluni who provides counselling through a trauma-informed, client-centered lens. Her practice is grounded in safety, respect, and trust, creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in exploring their experiences authentically. She approaches her work with care, curiosity, and deep respect, viewing her role not as one of direction, but as one of thoughtful accompaniment that honours the courage involved in sharing personal experiences.
Uzma has a strong passion for counselling and is dedicated to fostering a respectful therapeutic space in which clients feel both psychologically and spiritually understood. Her work honours the whole person - mind, heart, and soul - recognizing that healing extends beyond symptom relief to include emotional, spiritual, cultural, and existential dimensions of experience. She supports clients in drawing on their strengths, gaining clarity, and exploring meaning, identity, and values in ways that align with what matters most to them. Her practice is grounded in respect for each client’s values, beliefs, and lived experiences, supporting holistic healing and sustainable growth.
Uzma’s therapeutic style integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs and concerns. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, mindfulness practices, and attachment-based interventions. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence and interpersonal conflict, offering compassionate and responsive mental health counselling.
